This Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) / TA covers hazards and controls associated with Carpet Laying.
A risk exists for body & back strains from improper lifting. Cuts from the use of cutting equipment. Inhalation of adhesive fumes could lead to lung disease or in poorly ventilated work areas dizziness, fainting or death. NOTE: Refer to the Safety Data Sheet of the adhesive being used for the correct PPE and work setup controls i.e., Organic vapour face mask, adequate ventilation. Contact Adhesive supplier if unsure.
