Site Specific Safety Plans

Site Specific Safety Plans or SSSP is a plan that focusses on the safety of workers and others on construction sites. The SSSP documents the sites hazards and necessary controls required when on safe so that workers are kept safe.

On Construction sites, there will be a number of companies and sub-contractors working. The Health and Safety at Work act requires PCBU’s or companies to work together and agree on the safety procedures on the site.

Sub-Contractors as PCBU’s or companies are also required to have their own Site Safety plan for their specific trades and safe working procedures for any work that has risks to safety. Many main contractors will only accept sub-contractors onto site who have a documented Site Safety Plan.
